Dish now has 3 Russian language channels to choose from.

I don't watch garbage network TV anymore. I've never seen West Wing, a whole episode of Friends, Ali McBeal, NYPD Blue.... anything that has been on network TV in the last 6-7 years. I'm proud of that fact. The networks kept insulting my intelligence so I stopped watching them. I have better things to do with my time.

Right on Barry. Like you I think most these shows are a complete waste of time. I of course like 60 minutes, Prime Time Live, the History Channel. The only reality show I enjoy at all (like MarkinTex and Oscar) is the show Survivors.

The concept of survivor was discussed in 1996 and I strongly disagreed with it. I don't like the philosophy behind a group voting a member out in that scenario. It's kind of a collectivist backstabbing system that tends to be evil and corrupt.

Just imagine the group voting not just to eject a member, but also to be killed or left to die. That is what survivor is based on. I don't want anything to do with it.

Actually... that wasn't me.

I've never seen Survivor. Dunno why... just never got into it.

I do like Fear Factor. My daughter and I watch it and play the game: "Would you?" before every stunt.

But I never got into Survivor...

Barry,
Good for you! I'm right with you, last show I saw on prime time tele was Miami Vice.

What about that lame reality crap like survivor? I hear people talking about that mundane, mindless crap and I have to laugh. Who gets off on WATCHING others live their lives? Strange. Best post you've ever written, you are quite a smart fella arent' you.

Cheers,
Mark H
