As I mentioned the strange case yesterday about one man named Charles, whose wife and child are in Omsk and can't get leave Russia. I just hung up from him on the telephone.

When I spoke with him yesterday briefly he had said that his Congressman's office had told him it could be about the 9th or 10th as to when his wife and baby should be able to leave. I just hung up the phone from Charles a minute ago and have new information.

He is talking to the office of his local congressman, Dick Army. A few minutes ago they told Charles that it would now be the 20th or 21st of October before they thought Svetlana would be granted to leave. The wording used for the change from yesterdays 9th or 10th to todays 20th or 21st was "adminastrative processing".

Charles asked how many visa's were being help up, the spokesperson said a lot. He asked thousands and she replied yes, thousands. This person said it was going to take months before these visas would all be given out. (months!!!) Charles was also told this morning one of the reasons why there "might" be some strange situations (like his) was due to a "political" nature in that Russia, France and China are all against America attacking Iraq.

DO YOU GUYS HEAR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Russia, China and France are against America attacking Iraq and as such, some strange things are happening!!!

Like two children being detained for three weeks before being allowed to go to there mother in the states. Like there being a problem in the origianl police report from this Svetlana where they had put the wrong birthdate and instead of showing her 26, showing her 16!!!!

It seems there was a typo error on her original policereport, an error of 10 years, and so now they are checking into this!  After almost three years of marriage, such a typo, such a mistake being found is really strange.

So from this morning's conversation with Dick Army's office it was learned that she might get her paperwork in order to leave on the 20th or 21st, that there are thousands of visa's to be processed and it will take months, that Russia, China and France are against America attacking Iraq and these strange incidences, and many more, may all be related!

I seriously doubt that is the reason.
We the American people asked to have foreigners closely checked out.  This is just good security.

How many guys out there really know their wifes past life.  Were they members of some subversive political group?  Or a ex-KGB agent with a grudge.

Who knows.

But I do know we are definately gearing up for a war.

I'm turning a wrench for the navy on my jet engines, for my EA-6B's.  Let me put it this way, I'm putting in the hours and the days, so there will be plenty of engines ready.  When there is a 'go'.

Bush isn't bluffing.

Jack, just so we can understand this definitively, is it the Russian officials, or the American officials who are prohibiting her leaving?
Thanks for your clarification.

1. Supposedly the Russian authorities are holding up this person's departure (since the US would have no authority to do so at a Russian airport UNLESS this is being done by the US airline itself).
2. Supposedly someone (Russian or US) has 'reviewed' the orginal documentation from some 10 years ago? It's not likley the Russian authorities, since these documents would all be in the US authorities hands.
3. Supposedly another visa must be issued? Why? Was her original documentation cancelled by the US? And, once again who is doing this? Who is it that is preventing her from boarding the airplane?
Yes, this is a disturbing story, but, I cannot help but think that we're not hearing ALL the story.

Del, her original police report from 3 years ago, not 10. Shows a birthdate that is 10 years difference. According to the original police report this lady is 16, not 26!

I think if they want to screw with you they don't need much of a reason.

The problem with the police report has now been worked out, now they are awaiting for the US authorities to clear up some documents, or as they told Charles this morning, they have some "adminastrative processing" to do. Dick Armey's office told him about 90 minutes ago that she should be able to leave on the 20th or 21st of October.
