But there's no sense in hitting a man while he is down just to be smug, Oscar.
Obviously he knows he made a mistake. I applaud him for taking the actions now, that's the point.
There is nothing he can do to undo the actions of his past. I'll not criticize him for something he should have seen, or something he should have done. I wasn't in his situation. I didn't feel his emotions. I wasn't there at the beginning of his romance. I'm not going to criticize him.
But I will applaud him for his current actions. And for his candor. His willingness to share this painful moment is helpful as a lesson for all of us.
In many ways, under the right circumstances, what happened to him could have happened to you. Or to me. None of us can say that we are coldly objective in this...
