HellO! I'm new to this board. I will be taking my 1st trip to Luhansk this November to meet a young lady I've been corresponding with since last November. I met her through Vega-Agency. Anyone know anything about this agency. Also I did not know at the time Luhansk was the capital of scammers. Any advice on traveling to Luhansk itself etc? I would REALLY appreciate any feedback.

You might consider meeting her in Kiev and spending a few days and then have her escort you to Lugansk. The lady that I met from Lugansk told me that she would not think of me making the train trip from Kiev to Lugansk without her. She was concerned for my safety.

Ryan, who has not posted in a while took the train by himself and had no problem with his travel but was scammed big time.  Also Dr. who does not post lately I think did the same thing. So, do not be overly concerned by her comment. Just a thought.

Thanks for the feedback. I think this board is pretty informative although there is a log of negativism it's understood.

From my vast experience, I would say don't do it!  Just kidding-just because I ran into 2 scammers from there doesn't mean you will.  I contacted them on Matchdoctor.com, where it seems the entire town of Lugansk has ads-or 1 scammer with lots of photos.  I have no experience with any agency there.

If you scan through the back numbers on this board, you'll find more than a few scary stories about scammers and Lugansk in conjunction. However, they all have a common thread, which is that you part with a significant sum of money at some point. Just watch for the signs; if she or the agency (if you use one for translations etc) has been asking for money, if you don't have her authentic home address/phone, if she has tried to arrange your meeting away from her city and sought assistance for the travelling, and especially if she has sought to delay your visit for any reason (to prolong a lucrative correspondence) then you should expect the worst.

However, if  you have been corresponding since last November without being asked for money (by the lady OR by an agency for translations etc) or any of the other signs above, then she very probably genuine. Of course there are a good number of genuine nice girls as well as scammers in Lugansk (I have met both types).
