... in response to Yes... Thank God, posted by MarkInTx on Sep 4, 2002

I believe it was in Borneo where during WWII we cleared out a section of the jungle and built a landing field for the purpose of being a hopping point of flying supply ships to their, refueling and continuing on to supply our soldiers in the South Pacific with food, medicine and armaments.

Evidently there was a tribe of people that watched from the jungles edge, never revealing themselves as they looked to what they thought certainly must be the gods as they flew in these contraptions.

It was many years later when an expedition into Borneo first discovered this civilization. They had a strange form of religion. They built models of planes and a runway and were praying for the return of the Gods.

Now these are human beings not monkeys. This shows you how people think. We develop beliefs upon that which we do not understand.

I think that it is safe to say that humans have caused more suffering in the name of God than any other motivating or justifying cause.

... in response to Bigots . . ., posted by Dan on Sep 4, 2002

....fascinates me about the guy, he really does hate me. Makes me wonder how pissed he'd be if he knew the whole story.

I'm only slightly annoyed by him and I doubt I could ever really hate him. (As some know, lucky for him.) Fwiw, until recently I thought he was a nice enough guy too, jusy a little bit of a puzzy with a bad case of denial is all. Even when he was going off on me in earlier posts I understood he was just bent a little and seemed an OK guy otherwise.

Now I understand he can't see past his own blindness and thats a shame. Right up there with love, hate is a potent emotion that'll eat one's soul in short order. You'd think he'd know better.

Btw, a little Thai food is good what ails ya. Sure the portions are small, but it's known for being hot and spicey, easy to handle, and you're hungry again in an hour.

Here's the problem....you wrote:

"I could ever really hate him. (As some know, lucky for him.)".

It's basically a threat that he's CALLED you on. It's tough for people to be logical when one person is threatening another. Threats only work on those intimidated by such. Apparently MarkinTX is NOT intimidated by you and has called you on it. I liked it better when you posted logic like Dan. It doesn't become either of you. I've gone down the road with a person and it (and they) are just not worth it. Let's try to let it end....or hook up and settle it like men. This cyber threatening crap is out of hand.

.....I'm not "threatening" him at all.

With what? A spanking? I don't see any threat there. I was only refering to the fact that those who know me better know that when I'm really angry at someone I take off the gloves. Pull out all the stops, so to speak.

He isn't worth the emotional energy and never will be. lol, you're reading way to much into it. And I could care less whether he's intimidated by me or not, I don't operate that way.

Btw, I said I could "never" really hate him, not "ever". He's the one who can't get over it, I forgot about his nonsense a long time ago. He's more entertaining that anything else.

Came from something from the Miss Universe pageant years ago, talking about Thai women.

The upshot is a few so called claimed experts of physical beauty - claimed that overall Thai women, relative to percentages within the female populace of a country, were the most beautiful in the world.

Now, I have not seen it. I went to a site where there were some Thai women but I  was not impressed. They did not match up to the FSU women that were available to me on the Internet.  I suspect I have just not been to the right place.

I don't exactly know how to describe it - but it is certainly noticeable when you see it. The gals in Manila and Cebu (and probably elsewhere in The Philippines) sure know how to capture a guys attention (and imagination) with that strut of theirs. Never seen it practiced so institutionally as it is in the PI.

I believe those 'experts' you were referring to Greg, made their study on some relatively objective criterion. Things like the generally-accepted 'perfect' proportions between height and waist size - waist and hip size - breast and waist size - etc. It is true, the Thai gals are VERY attractive - to me at least.

Still, there is something to be said for those striking greyish, greenish eyes of the gals from the FSU looking up (or over) at you during certain times that just really turns my crank (so to speak --smile--).

... in response to The Filipina 'Strut' . . ., posted by Dan on Sep 4, 2002

I have seen that sultry strut you refer to.

After going to the FSU,  and being around full lips I discovered that the full lips are extremely attractive to me. I mean more than I ever thought would be the case.

I think you must be correct about how the Thai women were evaluated - makes sense.

I do not find oriental woman that attractive.  I have nothing against them in any way, I am just not personally attracted.  Nor am I personally attracted to the darker skinned South American girls..  Again, nothing against them, it's just not what does it for me.  I do know that many of the recent past Miss Universe's have been from South America, but I like the lighter skin and eyes thing..

To say that any particular countries women are the "most" beautiful in the world is silly I think..  It is such a relative thing, I mean, there are pygmy tribes that certainly think their women are the most beautiful in the world, but you and I would probably not agree.

For me, FSU women are attractive (Physically) in the things that I personally find attractive and appreciate in a woman-Very light skin, high cheek bones, slightly up angled eyes with colors that are unusual for the west, like very, very light grey or blue or very bright vivid green (as my fiance has!), large bodacious lips (That many AW have collagen injections to get! LOL!) and generally very nice, slim figures.  I won't go into my feelings on the personality differences as I see them here, as this was about just physical beauty..

My 2 cents

Oscar,
What choice does a pygmy have?  He would look rather silly with a 5'10" FSU girl!  LOL.

Now someone might say that you are prejudice. I would not. Your example of the pygmy is a perfect example. I think that it is safe to say that not uncommonly what we are attracted to is what we first experience visually as babies if we were content at the time. It is also what we  have simply become used to and familiar with. So, a pygmy might find the wide flare of his lady's nose very attractive where I simply see two holes that seem to big to me with such facial feature being distractive.

I assure you I am not at all prejudiced, I have nothing whatever against any of these nationalities..  I am just personally attracted to the features of women in the FSU.
I have seen some stunning black women, I think Halle Berry is a very beautiful woman, but I just like what I like.. I have never been nuts about really dark eyes or black straight hair.  Of course if I feel something for a woman for other reasons, the dark eyes or hair thing would not be a problem for me at all..  But not knowing a woman inside, I just tend to gravitate towards the lighter eyes and skin and other features of many FSU women ESPECIALLY THE LIPS BABY!! LOL!

As I said here before...

Prior to going over to the FSU, I had a girlfriend who was half Thai, and half-caucasion.

She was incredibly gorgeous.

She was also a nut-case.

Looks aren't everything.

(BTW, I am not implying that all Thai women are nuts. Nor, however, are they all gorgeous. Just like every other nationality...)
