About Nicole Kidman as a Mail Order Bride from Russia..  It should be interesting!  Wonder if any of it will be realistic or bring back memories for me, or if I will just find it amusing in it's innacuracies..

There were some plot twists that I never did understand...

It was funnier in places than I expected.

Nicole Kidman is a cutie though, I will say that.

I agree... Nicole is a cutie but no disrespect intended but she really isnt that striking to me... just my opinion... my wife has it all over her.. at least for me... my wife's lips... ooh la la..

I don't know if I have ever seen any woman more beautiful that Nicole.   I saw her once in person.   She took my breath away.   About 6 feet tall, slim , beautiful skin.

I saw it in the movies. I was very dissappointed with it. It was not like the mail order system works. rick it was nice to here her speak russian though

With an Australian accent?

My wife loves to figure out who is a REAL Russian actor, and who is someone just saying the lines...

She is afraid that when she does go back to visit her mother in Moscow that she will speak with an American accent. Her 8 y.o. son still speaks English with a Russian accent, but he understands everything. He likes to speak English more than he does russian..

Well, that was a pretty lame show..  The only thing that to me seemed accurate, was her smoking! LOL!  Lots of the girls there smoke just like that.  Nicole Kidman looked about as Russian as I do!  She doesn't have the terrific cheek bones, the big lucious lips, the cat eyes, nothing!!! What were they thinking!  Now the woman who would have been PERFECT for tis movie is that Mila Jovovich (don't know the spelling!).  Anyway, she's in that movie "Resident Evil"..  She would have been great!

I got a real kick out of the fact that in the movie, the guy didn't need to even go to Russia, no fiancee visa, he just picks her out online, she just shows up at the airport and he picks her up, never having met! LOL!!  If people only knew how unrealistic THAT is and what it really takes to get a woman from there...

What a hoot!

I'll second that!!  The girl in Resident Evil would have been perfect.    But then again, I would hate to see her cast in a role like Birthday Girl.  I REALLY prefer the unstoppable survivor-type character.  I guess that may partly explain my attraction to RW.  Where is Mila from?  Is she FSU?

Milla is from Kiev, Ukraine.  He bio says she moved to the US when she was 5 years old and her mother was a Russian actress.

Just think how little respect Americans will think when you future wife sez she was a MOB and that's what they'll think about.  Curb service.

Atleast they could have done was had the guy go to Russia and meet her, but that would detract from the silly story line and how Americans think of foreigners.  Like second class citizens.

On my morality kick tonight.  I'm still fuming about that Worldlinktv show.
