We at the military base had the opportunity to host a Russian ship that also brought with them performers and a soccer team to our military base.  Wow, what a contrast to the days when I used to cruise north of the Sea of Japan 19 years ago and ran into these Russian Navy ships that had no love for us whatsoever.

Well the performance was spectacular, with men and women singers, dancers and comedians.  The base theater seats 500 and people were standing in the entranceway trying to catch a glimpse of the talented stars in their traditional colorful dress.  They will perform next in England during "Fleet Week."

Fiancee caught a train last night from Sumy to Kiev to the Norwegian Embassy to get her and her daughter's Visa stamp to come to me for marriage.  I plan to go to her 10 Sept for a ten day visit and then return to Iceland finish a little paperwork and hopefully marriage by the 27th of September.  Very excited about all this after more than two years of writing, calls and five visits between us.

Thanks for the well wishes.  Of course the last days of our waiting go slower and slower for us, but soon no more telephone calls, letters and pain of missing each other.  I must say that if it's love and you both feel that you cannot live without each other, the relationship will grow even though there are long waits and difficulties to overcome.
