Approved for Marriage!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, a miracle of incredible proportions has finally come.  Called the NCIS(office handling U.S. Military marriage applications) and was told that the State Department has given my fiancee a clean go ahead for marriage.  I am fortunate not to have to go through Warsaw and now can bring my fiancee back to me very soon.  Will start the process of going to her home in Sumy, Ukraine and throwing a big party before bringing back to me.  Wow, Wow, Wow.  The papers have been 8 1/2 in waiting since I filed them, so it's a relief and incredible happiness has come to everyone in my circle of family and friends.

A great amount of thanks to all on this sight, who post daily or occasionally, but give all of us a place to process our thoughts and needs.  GO NAVY!  Jim

That is great. Hey be sure and let us know about how it goes in Sumy and how your lady adjusts to the change once you are together. I wish you both the best. Hey, once the other guys see the prize you bring home, I bet someone else in your unit will get the notion to take a look at the FSU for a bride also.

Thanks for the well wish.  I did bring her here to my base in Iceland for two 45 day visits and heads turned as well many were impressed with her character.  I do have a few friends who would love to try this process, and one wants me to help him to get hooked up.

Many people would like to find a woman with such character traits as women in this part of the world have, but often can't go through with it, because the process requires some courage, chance and adventure.  It's definately not for the weak of heart.  Jim

You're stationed in Iceland, right? What are the local people like? I went to school with an Icelandic exchange student and have a friend who wants to travel there to meet people.
