I met a lady the other day who was born in Russia. She moved to France with her family and had most of her upper education there. Later she moved with her family to the USA.

She speaks fluent Russian, French and English. I asked her if she thinks  in English.

Her answer was this.

I commonly think in English - most of the time actually. The two main exceptions are when I am doing math of which at that time I think in French since my math training was mainly in France,

The second exception is when I get mad.

------ when I get mad -------- I think in Russian.

I think some of you can relate to that LOL

I had the pleaure of working with an engineer who spoke four laguages.

I asked him the same question: "What language do you think in?"

He told me that most of the time he thought in English. But when he programmed, he thought in German because it was such a good engineer's language.

I can't even begin to understand that... but it was fascinating to talk to someone like that...

Lol... he's right.

I had the pleasure of being married to an angry filipina.  When she was angry, she definitely thought and spoke anger based on tagalog.

When she did math in her head, (light speed just like her anger), she thought tagalog.

When she thought food, she thought filipina-american.

When she thought about marriage, she thought american.

(excuse me while I rotflmao).

couldn't resist this opening Mark...
