I have been to St. Pete several times and can't find any good apartments. Can anyone recommend a good deal on an apartment for a week in August? THanks,

Thanks. I have stayed at that hotel a few years ago. I liked it but during August for a double is not more than $100. I was trying keep it a little lower. Do you know of a way of getting a better deal? Thanks

sHoustonc,

I don't know if it had anything to do with my good looks or what, but I paid $80 for a single and $85 for a double.

The time frame I have always been in St. Pete was the last week of June, first week of July, during the height of White Nights. Maybe August is higher because it is the month of vacation.

Where do you want to stay? Location, location, location will determine the price you pay.

You want right in the center, you will pay from $60 to $90 a day for a nice one bedroom. Further out, the price goes down.

sHoustonc, I pretty much stay in flats whenever I visit the FSU. The only exception to this is St. Petersburg. I love staying at the Hotel Prebaltisca. Fun, exciting, reasonable price. The have a western style breakfast buffet every morning. Eggs, bacon, ham, bisquits, orange juice, hash browns. Three or four resturants, bowling alley, billard parlor, disco-club. It backs up to the Guld of Finland and if you get a room there request a room over looking the Gulf. You talk about a beautiful site! Thank goodness for those top-less beaches!
