The fact that it might interfere with foreign men seeking a bride there is a mute point but one well taken. If such transaction does take place I would be shocked if foreign relations with Ukraine was not seriously impacted.
Who knows how the worlds politics are going to shift. Think about it, there was a time when it would have been almost impossible to very hard to go to the FSU and take home a bride. I personally think that the earlier days were the best to go and find a bride, fewer scammers, as a foreign man you were more unusual and more interesting etc. Men compensate now for the changes by finding different ways of meeting women such as going to towns/cities that no one ever went to and using tactics like running your own ad to attract women who are not in agencies/catalogues etc.
My personal opinion is that the longer one waits the more difficult it will be to find the same quality woman. Nothing to worry about at this point - there is plenty of time unless political issues get in the way. I can not help but think that these FSU governments are going to have to notice at some point the exodus of quality women. I understand that many of these countries are having problems with decrease in population because of illness and decreased fertility rate. The strength of these countries lies in its people. I predict that at some point if this population spiral continues that it will become increasingly more difficult to import a wife from the FSU. At this point there is not problem what so ever it seems.
