I know I saw a post on this board a while back where some guy listed all the countries where Russian citizens can travel without a visa.  Does anyone have such a list or know where I can find it?

From your question I imagine you are wanting to meet a
women and figure it would be nice to go to a resort area.
Are you going to just have fun with this lady or are you really
looking for a wife?
The reason I ask is this. You will find out more about
your lady by staying with her at her place of residence. You'll
meet her friends, relatives, see how she keeps house, and etc.
Now I'm just giving advise and these are my thoughts. Myself
I wouldn't have even met a lady if she wouldn't let me stay
with her and live like her. If she as adament about going to
a resort area or the like...to me is somewhat of a red flag.
There are always exceptions to the rule though. FWIW

Cheers,
Bruce

Some of the people here might want to meet the lady for a vacation together in a third country while K1 visa process is still pending.  I agree I would not meet someone anywhere but her own place for the first meeting.

Most of the countries on the list provided are not desirable for most of us.  Recently I did meet my fiance whom I already visited twice in Russia for a vacation in Thailand, and that was a great experience for both of us!  There are quite a number of Russians in Thailand for vacations and Thailand is a lot more friendly to American tourists than many of the other countries on this list.  Hotels and food are very inexpensive.  The only downside is the weather is very hot!  I think visas are required for Russians, but are very easy to get.  I considered Bahamas too, but it seems to be more expensive.

That list posted by Juio was the one I remembered seeing a while back and that's the one I was looking for.  Thanks.  And, yes, I will save it to my hard drive...good idea.

I know what you mean about getting to know a girl in her own city and in her own environment, and I agree.  This is a girl I met on my very first trip to Moscow (before I even met an agency girl) and I have been back to see her a few times since.  She is not with an agency and she is not even that interested in leaving her "motherland."  She knows I originally went to FSU to meet some girls through these agencies and she can't imagine how I (or the girls) could do this.  She THINKS I just want to pick a beautiful younger Russian to marry, and that makes her somewhat wary of my motives with her (because she is a model and she is such a babe).  Anyway, as you suggested, I have been to her home (a Stalin style "flat") and had a great dinner with "Momsky" and "Dadsky" and her little brother.  Her mother said I must be amazed to see how they lived in such a small place and said she imagined most Americans to live in larger places (she was right, but their place was also nice and homey).  The dinner was great and they had so many little appetizer things that I had never seen before.  Her father had several types of vodka to enjoy with the meal and we even had some kind of homemade "Hunter's Vodka" which was kind of reddish brown.  And the little brother kept asking why I was sipping my vodka rather than slamming it down and drinking more.

So, yes, it was nice to see her in her own home environment and I have seen enough of how many other Russians and Ukrainians live.  But I could never imagine staying at her place.  I know of some guys who have done this and it seems to work for them, I guess...but its just not for me.  I mean, I'm also pretty independent and I like to get out on my own.  This girl and I are kind of serious but I have not asked her to marry me and we are not so serious that "the search" is quite over yet (I keep hearing Jack's mantra in my head: "meet many many girls before settling on just one, JohnnyDudeMan").

So I told this girl I am thinking about flying back to Moscow later this month.  But, SHEESH, have you guys seen the sky high air fares lately???  JohnnyDudeMan don't play that.  I have plenty of SkyMiles but I can't even reserve a seat on a plane with my SkyMiles without having to use the "anytime miles" option, which charges double the normal required miles and...I don't think so.  So, now I'm thinking about Costa Rica or some other place closer to home.  She also has plenty of time right now because she just graduated (her second post-grad degree) from her University in Moscow.  Plus, it would be nice to see how she reacts when she is out of her own environment.  I always feel a little helpless and disoriented in Russia and Ukraine ("Ya ni punyamaya") and I sometimes have to rely on her and others for the most basic things.  So it would be nice to be with her in a place where I can at least read a menu and ask for directions and relax, and where SHE can rely on ME for once.  "Yo si hablo Espanol."  At least now I have a list of potential places where we can go.

[I guess I could post her picture...but you can already see her picture on the packages of some Russian hair coloring products in some of those underground metro shopping kiosks.]

Richard is right. That's a good idea since it's not the first meeting
I can go along with it.

Awwwww come on couldn't live in her flat? Heck I took 1 1/2 weeks of boiled water baths. Funny
how you can actually take a bath and do it tight with 4 gal.
of hot water. Yea I suppose some folks staying with their
lady could be rough for them, but I liked the experience. Didn't
bother me a bit.  8-)

I use Polish Airlines and have recieved the best rates from
them. Never had a problem. Give their website a try and see
what they can do.

Have a good time when ya go.

Cheers,
Bruce

In addition to meeting the family, it can be useful spend some time with a woman on "neutral territory"  where she does not have her familiar surroundings to fall back on.

Start copying to a floppy or hard drive posts like this as well as other posts that might contain information that you will need in the future.

Going back in the archives to search for data like this can be very time consuming.

Here is a combined list as posted by Howard Ketley on RWL and Dan on P-L.  I can only vouch for Turkey.  Some real desirable places here.  How about N. Korea!!

Into places you can go and places you can go but never want to go.
For example:
Albania - didn't we just fight a war there? Muslims love AMERICANS!
Egypt, Iran, Qatar, Syria - Americans are a big hit there, NOT!
Pakistan - join in the hunt for Osama and his friends, you vacation video could end up on TV news!
North Korea - see how far a person would go for a candy bar
Cambodia, Laos - pack your guns, grenades and flack jackets
Mongolia - freze your @ss in a desert wasteland adventure
Venezuela - the next best thing to Columbia
Cosea Island - where the heck is that, you'll never find your way back

I see Bahamas listed here and I think things have changed and it is not so easy for ladies to visit Bahamas as it once was.

I do not see Mexico listed and thought that Russian ladies could visit Mexico somewhat easily, but maybe that has also changed.

Yes, I am going through that process right now. The best resort places (or kind of) are: Turkey, Eqypt and Cyprus where no Visas are required for Russian citizens.

Also, I did find an interesting Gem -- untested as yet.  There is a direct flight on some tourist plane direct from Moscow to the Spanish islands. Most Russians can get onto this. They fly into Palma, Spain (PMI). THis is the island next to Ibiza.
