Getting an I-129F approval should really be a no brainer. The INS has administrative decisions regarding disapprovals (the official documents posted) listed on their website at
http://www.ins.gov/graphics/lawsregs/admindec/tt/index.htm (For the year 2000 only).
The reasons for disapproval for fiance visas were:
1. Not having met in the previous 2 years.
---A. Petitioner NEVER met fiance.
---B. Petitioner could not prove extreme hardship for not meeting.
---C. Petitioner and Spouse met after petition was submitted.
2. Petitioner or Beneficiary still married.
3. Petitioner and beneficiary already married.
4. Petitioner is not a US citizen.
Further, on the AOS disapproval side, the only thing I found w/r/t a previous K-1 - marriage etc was: Beneficiary was a wife beater and not of good moral character.
Of course it only shows for the year 2000, but it would seem like if simple procedures are followed, getting an fiance visa petition approved is similar to getting a refund on your taxes. Just follow the rules.
The cases were an interesting read.
Just some fyi.
