All of the bluster I've read lately reminds me of something that happened about a year ago...
I was in a meeting with a bunch of Sales Engineers, and a product manager.
One of the SEs was really pompous and she talked to this poor PM with such condescending tones, it was embarrassing.
After the meeting, I felt so bad for the guy, that I went up to him, and actually apologized on her behalf, saying that her behavior was horrible, and that we all didn't feel that way.
The guy smiles and says to me: "Mark, last week I became a granddaddy. Believe me, nothing she can say is going to bother me..."
Today... the sun is shining brightly, the air is clear and fresh, and my daughter and I are heading for Lake Lewisville.
And -- believe me -- nothing that was said here is bothering me.
