I'm looking for the best deal on Russian TV from satellite.  The dish network has a deal where you can get 2 russian stations for 24.95 but it appears that you must also get one of the regular programming packages making the total about $62 for the cheapest package.  Has anyone found a better deal (not the introductory offers)?  Are there other satellite networks that offer something similar?  I'd be interested to hear your experiences.

Thanks,

Bill P

At this time only Dish Network offers international packages. Russian NTV and NTV+ package cost 24.99$ per month. If you want to subscribe only this package you can do so but with extra 5$ per month access fee. There are no other Russian channels on any other satellites which available in USA. Even the big "ugly" dish is not powerful enough to get Russian channels from European sattelites.

Of course there are some Russian Tv stations and tons of radio station available through Internet. Site www.guzei.com is good one as well as www.russianseattle.com.

Bill P,
You had better recheck the Dish Network.  I got it for my wife and we ONLY subscribed for Russian TV for $24.95/month.  You do not have to sign up for their entire program package to get NTV.  BTW, my wife is somewhat disappointed with it.  She says they only play old outdated movies mostly.

But when you find a much broader quantity of program either e-mail me or post that data.

I'd be interested in seeing what's available to Europe as a whole via one of these larger dishes, as in the country side they're quite out of favor as the small disnetworks are much more in demand.

Of course, not everyone has an Antenna farm like I have with Beveage Antenna stretching out 1/4 of a mile in length in every direction for Low band dx reception.
