It was made in China but works as well as any standard keyboard that I have used. No adapters nessecary but make sure the she gets the proper size plug for your port (large or small). I think most computers now days use the smaller size plugs.
Sometimes it's a little confusing using it (especially in low light) as the Cyrillic letters are in red and offset on the keys but it was a great investment. My wife was thrilled to see that I had made the effort to accomodate her needs to comforably correspond with her family and friends when she arrived.
I have used keyboards with key stickers and overlays and IMHO this is a better choice. I mean for $10 you can't go too wrong. You could get two separate keyboards and switch back and forth if the back of your computer is readily accessable but this is a hassle at best.
