or smokin' these days?

Or, are you preparing a "how to" book and these are 'teasers'?

Two sound, solid posts - no BS and you do tend to 'cut to the chase'.

These ought to be saved somehwere for easy access for all:

.......the darn cabin altitude controller is set too high again, hypoxia does strange things to people. ;-)

Actually, in re-reading that post, it comes across a tad hard on Ryan. After all, hes a big boy and stickin with things is no great insight, just common sense. I guess I was provoked to write it because its the only way I've done things. Other methods may work just as well (Ken's "go with the flow and it'll happen" is great advice also), but for me drawing a line from A to B and focusing on it works best. (btw, I've noticed this line may not always be a straight one.)

In fact, a combination of Ken's approach and mine, a mixture of the "tortoise and the hare", may be ideal. Not *too* much focus (and stress), but never losing sight of the goal, careful study and planning, and making steady progress (while not letting the setbacks get you down) will win the day in most cases. If the goal seems overwhelming, one can simply break it into sub goals and achieve each one until one finally arrives at the finish line.

Two steps forward and one back has been my life's story, so I really don't know any other way. Each to his own I guess, but one thing I know for sure is that entering a hold gets you nowhere while time marches on. I have a thing about wasting time, maybe because I'm aging. Not that I can't be patient, I can, as long as I perceive progress is being made. If not, its fix it *now* and go at it again.

Truth is, I'm in the winter of my association with the board. (lol, Come Boy Wonder, our work here is done.) Finding a mate was only one of those sub goals for me (albeit a big one), and now I've bigger fish to fry. After all, The Big Sleep is not far off and I've got a thousand miles to go before then. Being a "no loose ends" kind of guy, I'll being saying goodbye and good luck to you all in the near future. (that’ll cheer some up, eh?) Not quite yet, but as soon as things settle down for me I'm gonna unsettle them again and all involved are off on a new adventure.
