Hello, Everyone and thanks for all your help. MY fiancee has all the papers together and is ready to send them to me for the pettition. she is sending the 325a, photos, proof of ability to marry. Does anyone know if there are any other documents she has to send me. Any help would be appreciated.   This site has been very helpful and thanks again, Rick

I think that you need to submit a copy of her birth cert with translation and/or a photo copy of her intl' passport.
Also she should sign a statement that she intends to get married within 90 days of her arrival to the US. If she has her police report done I would also send a copy and translation with you I-129F. The more you give the INS, the faster they work.

Remember to 2 hole top punch all your documents and fasten with an ACCO type binder. Put a cover letter on it stating that it is the "original submission" and list the enclosed documents.

Good luck, Rick.

There is no point in sending a police report over here.  We did the birth certificate, but it isn't necessary either.  The only other thing I can think of is to make sure to include the names of any K-2 children on your cover letter.

I agree that to send the police report is an over kill and would be something they would most likely throw in the trash.??The birth certificate copy can't hurt though. They look for items they really need and anything else is just more waisted time for them to look at. However you did the right thing by asking about this first before she sent it. So I take it she will send you a copy of her passport, any divorce papers, Adit photos (2 of them) the 325A form ( 1 copy of this has been known to be enough but it is recommended she has 4 identical copies), and a letter stating her intentions to marry soon after getting here, and anything that is in Russian has a translaited certified copy, then she has done her part. I also recomend that you have her send you her name and address written in cyrilic, it will help you when you fill out the I-129F. It was good advice to send everything well organized and done in such a manner that they can't easily lose something.
Good luck
Mike
P.S. if she is from Russia she needs to try and get a police report now! They are known for being difficult to get.

I'll have to disagree with you guys on the police report.

True, you don't NEED to submit one for the I-129F but it will be in your file when it gets forwarded to the US Embassy (Warsaw or Moscow) where they will do a background check with the D.O.J. and local authorities. It will not be thrown in the trash. (Why would they go to the effort to remove it from your file which is properly organized, catagorized, and bound?) At worst, it will be ignored. You have to submit this information anyway, why not show that you have your sh!t together and give them as much info as you have now? I would not hold up filling to wait for this but if you have it, submit it.

Also, you need to submit three (3) adit style photos for your K-1 (one for the I-129F and two for the visa) and another two (2) for the A.O.S. so you might as well get three pairs done.

True, it was stupid to say they would trash can the report. The point I wanted to make was to submit a police report would most likely take much more time waiting for it and then sending in your package, as most reports take a while to get. Also I would worry that they would want a more recent report by the time she has her interview, there is always a chance something could happen and cause your interview to be many months away from now. As for the Adit photos, yes she will need a lot of them but technically they are to be recent photos for each procedure. As for the photo for the interview I think they are to be passport type photos, at least my wifes visa was made with this type of photo where they face directly at the camera.
