We are scheduled to go for the middle of May.
I mailed a request for the visa applcn. over 3 weeks ago...
Nyet reply!! So I e-mailed one this morning. I don't want to get
caught short on time.
I'm thinking a multi (3 yr) business visa would insure an easier next time if it comes.

A further note regarding visas:  the ever nefarious  Odessa mayor has proposed a scheme for travelers entering Odessa to do so without a visa. The even more nefarious President Kuchma has supposedly approved this initial proposal. The current elections should be the deciding factor and a final decision will likely be made during April or May from what I understand. Only in Ukraine could this happen letting one little fiefdom's ruler the right to circumvent visa policy while not approving it for all???

the 3 year business visa can only be had with a good letter of invitation (with stamps and initial travel dates) and even with that they will try to give you a one year visa. You have to demand the long term visa and if possible it is best to apply at the consulate or embassy. Good luck

Karl,
You can download the Visa Application from the Washington Embassy web site.

Karl,

You can now pull the visa application from the Internet and use it. Once you have filled the application out and you send the package overnight (with a return overnight package included) you should get the visa back in 14 days.

Best forget the 3-year business visa.

Business visa.

Just wondering why everyone says to forget the 3-year deal.  I was wondering if my 3-year business visa is still good or has there been any change in policy that I should know about.

Jimbo, prior to Sept. 11, out of 24 request for three-year business visas, I had received 21. I think one of those 21 was yours.

After Sept. 11, I have requested nine three-year business visas, got two!

Your three-year business visa is good for three years Jim, no problem. And the fact that you have a business visa will make it a breeze to get you another business visa when that one expires, but not a three year visa I think. However, I am working on it and hopefully can get things worked out before to long.
