Not sure how many of you guys who might be traveling to Ukraine during the first week of May know about this years unusal holiday situation.

May Day this year was to be celebrated on May 1 (Wednesday) and May 2 (Thursday). The President (I assume) made a special change this year and have asked the people to work on Saturday the 27th of April so that Friday, May the 3rd, would actually be part of this years holiday. So in effect there should be a 5-day national holiday (from May 1 thru May 5).

In helping to arrange for meetings of many ladies amoungest several men during this time frame we have found that almost 30% of the ladies will not be available during this week.

Although some ladies were going on little trips and making other plans, many of the ladies had indicated they would be going with mama and papa to there country homes and help grandma plant potatoes and other vegatables and do clean-up and repair work.

Just something I thought you guys planning on being there the last week of April and/or first week of May should take into consideration now as you make your plans.
