The Montel show

I did not see the Montel show but the impression was that it was not negative to this process per posts below.

Well I do not know if there was a second show after, or whether, the report was wrong or whether my friend is being negative.

Last night I called an AW female friend. She told one of her best friends that I was looking at Russian women. Her friend saw the show and called my AW friend and told her to quick look at this show as it was not painting a good picture of this. So, she did this, watched the show. She told me that there were two couples that were supposedly happy on the stage with Montel but they were not married that long yet (not hitting the 2 year milestone) but there were many (not a few) men in the audience who had been burned - with the ladies leaving once the two year time frame passed. There was also reported a suspicious story of one man being killed by his FSU bride and indications that deaths were happening more often than normal to men involved in this process and that an investigation was being started. Now, I know about how information changes as it is reported to someone else etc. but the reason that I am bringing this is up is not about the specifics at all but the general impression from this lady that this was a very negative show overall for this process when at this board I get the impression of the opposite!!

Now, this lady supports what I am doing. So, does anyone else have any information on the show? What is the skinny here?

Awright, this drove me nuts too, so I surfed my arse off and found this much out.  The name of the show:

"MAIL ORDER BRIDES: FANTASY OR NIGHTMARE?"

This was on a list to vote for your favorite show from last week...

I fired off an email to Montel, as well as the show - whom-ever answers any of that stuff anyway, asking about how I can get a copy of a transcript or video.  Got my curiosity up as well...  Don't EVER stir up my curiosity...

I'm pretty sure there was only one show about this, so I can only say your friend is off in her opinion, or there were points in the show not reported here... Prolly a little of both?

I've been curious about this since someone posted that Montel had said something to a feminista to the effect of "Maybe they're tired of attitudes like yours?".

I'd pay for footage that showed any man spitting that in a feminstas face on National Television, Particularly if it was the host...

I'll post any response I happen to get...  Prolly nothing more'n a form letter at best, but I tried...

Does any one else have any ideas?  I would think there has to be some nut out there who records Montel, compresses it to .avi, and then posts it on the web?  Or some nut who can make .avi files - who knows a nut who records Montel?  Mebbe I give this Internet too much credit?  Nah, I seen wierder stuff than that...

Montel's pretty fair about stuff like this.  He's an ex navy lieutenant that's been through the crap-mill of life himself.

While I may not always agree with his "split" on issues, he's one of the few that I actually have some respect for.

We had something on that a week or 2 ago.  Go check the archives.  I did not see the show and I copied a post from another forum about the show.  Many people did not think it was as negative as many talk shows would portray it.  Montel played it pretty evenly from what I read.  

I do not know anybody directly involved with a Russian but my friend does and he says the guy is happy.  Of the people I know that did go overseas, both were very happy.
