Hello everyone,

I have just returned from Moscow and have a story of my experience in matters of American men and Russian women.
My arrival was unique in that everyone on my flight was allowed to pass through customs quickly except me as it took the customs officials two or three phone calls and also a couple of juants back and forth for them to accept me. They were very nice in all matters but I still wondered why it took so long for me to stand there and be the last to enter the main airport? The funny thing is I just walked through and straight to the main area without getting my declaration papers stamped and met my girlfriend and drove off. Upon my return home they asked for my stamped declaration and I had none...lol They let me pass anyway and I wondered to myself if I had done something wrong when I initially arrived?
My girlfriend is very lovely and has all the physical characteristics of a Russian woman/slavic traits. She was very genuine and takes very good care with her appearance and manners. She is a wonderful person. She is more wonderful than I had imagined. She is also older by one year than myself.
We visited many places in Moscow and also the Bolshoi/Ballet where it was the French version of Sleeping Beauty. It was wonderful to watch the Ballet as it was truly the best ever. The trip was wonderful wonderful wonderful...lol
My advice to those seeking to meet/marry these wonderful women of Russia/CIS is to visit your girlfriend and see for yourself. To read these boards is good for some facts but the genuine article for your peace of mind and total experience of your quest is to go in person. I am sure your experience will be good in many ways as mine was.
I will return again in the near future and work in the areas of the K-1 visa and also to communicate better with my girlfriend as to be better equipped for the reality of all things concerned.

I saw the nutcracker at that theater. I'm a country boy, but let me tell you it was a wonderful experiance watching this balet in the Bolshoi theater, and the music was also perfect! Moscow is worth seeing even if you're not so lucky in love! ( in my opinion)

Great News Dude!!! Being from Montana, I swore I would never say that, but I guess there was no way to avoid it. Best of luck in the future.

Howdy,

I agree with Mike fully in that the Ballet is very much worth seeing. The music was near perfect and also live which made it even more special.
Mike I'm from Texas and have been to a grand total of one ballet and it was Bolshoi so I suppose I need not go again because I've seen the best...lol

Hey Quisimodo I lived in Montana in the very early 90's in a town called Helena. It was colder in Montana than Moscow so the weather was no big deal to me. I get nervous in weather that runs under -20 ...lol. The funny thing is that when it snowed last week in Moscow it was the first time I had seen snow since Montana..lol

My trip was great and I learned a lot about small things as well as large things. The best lesson I learned was to be honest with myself as well as my girlfriend. I had no greater expectations going into this than to be a good person as well as open-minded and patient with all things concerned with relationships. It seems to have worked well and we are mature enough to move to the next step.

Hi Dude!

I lived NW of Kalispell up in the Glacier Park area Smiley I could see into the park from my living room window. And I miss it! Cold enough, though I don't know if it is a cold as where Zink lives. He is just over the border in Canada over on the "Highline" plains area. Names like Chinook really lack an appeal for me. Helena you say? That wouldn't be the question on State Capitals that a lot of people miss, would it?

Quasimoto,

Yes Helena is the capital and I lived on Madison Ave. there in the city...lol
I love the part of no sales tax in Montana as you pay for goods and goods only. No taxman waiting for a handout unless you buy a car or large item.
I never got up to Calgary to the large mall as both times I tried the snow and weather stopped me...lol. I was there back in 1990-91.

I was only joking, asking about Helena. I hope you realize that. Helena is interesting. Even in the 1890s it was the only city in there state where you would see most men in business suits. It was like an island in a sea of cowboy hats. Very political!
