To find out, where the e-mail comes from.
Meaning the route from the origin to the person receiving it.
Could someone tell me, how?             thanks

You need to look at the raw header of the mail. How you do that depends on what mail client you use. In Outlook XP you open the message, choose "Options..." from the "view" menu. Down in the new window that opens you have a textbox labeled "Internet headers:". Look at the "Received:" lines in this textbox.

with the email opened - click the files tab - go down and click on properties - details and then message source...
from there I can even take the 10 digit isp # and run a search on the senders header at  http://www.network-tools.com/
