I understand their is a US Senate inquiry at present into the MOB dating agencies.  Does anyone here know the terms of reference.. Are they also investigating possible tax evasion.  Is there a code of practice that governs the operations of these agencies.  Are the services they provide covered by the Travel Insurance guarantee..

I doubt they could do anything to control this business. The only way they would know about agency income is if they made it a tax deduction to use an agency and require the agency to provide a tax ID number to thte customer ?? or payment arrangments could be made so that nothing is handled here in the States. If they tried to regulate this business I'm sure it wouldn't work, companies in other countries wouldn't be effected.

If they try to regulate this business as you said.
Then they could start on Time Square (Manhattan) and try to regulate that kind of business and they could start
by regulating themselves.  Because if they were  in the place of the girls on Time Square, they would not wear panties, to
speed up the business.
This is what can of whoooore they are.

I do not understand at all, why the MOB term  apply here.
Here it so happen that we try to meet people and eventually find happiness.
We have,  as they do,  a choice,  everyone can say yes or no, eventually.
The net's  agencies are mainly a meeting place.  A dating place, a place to get to know people.

They could never control it.  Any russian girl could put her info on Friendfinder or match.com.  What is the difference except, marriage sites offer additional services such as interpreting and travel planning.  What are they going to stop every web site from collecting info from all foreigners (because they couldn't discriminate against the FSU).  The companies would just move to russia and start .ru web sites.  Silly waste of our tax money!
