In opening - I *know* that jj/MAx cannot help himself and will undoubtedly post some inane crazed revenge-driven message. Soooo - I just want you to know (jj/MAx) that the best part of seeing you banned is that *you* know that I had a role in helping it along. I am glad you are banned - I am glad I had a role in it - and I am especially glad that you know I helped.

Now . . .

Some may find this offer worth pursuing. It is an offer for information describing the Russian Orthodox Church - and it's role in Russian history. I have not read the account myself just yet - so I cannot personally vouch for the material, but I wanted to pass along the offer:

Date:    Thu, 21 Feb 2002 07:37:27 EST
From:    Gary Butner
Subject: History of Russia

I just want to mention once again that if anyone is interested in
reading the history of the Russian Orthodox Church, then please send me a e-mail requesting the 62 page Word document. Most of you might not be aware of it, but the ROC is almost like a branch of the Russian government, and even had a cabinet position in Peter the Great's government. I'm not at all certain one can grasp Russian history without understanding the role the ROC has played.

Wend me a e-mail for a great read.

Gary

Hey Dan, you forgot to include the guy's email. It is:
DrGary777@AOL.COM

I haven't emailed him, but if you do get the article, why not post it here as a series. I'm just wondering if it is a valid objective historical synopsis or anti-church propaganda. The ROC has had some dark moments in history like the Roman Catholics, but even during those times there have been some very holy saints who have done great works.

It seems that those who were recently banned have come back to show their true natures, validating our long standing complaints about them. Hopefully, when Patrick returns from vacation he will be able to take extra steps to block their viscious spew.

It will be nice to have the forum without the Jack attacks, flame wars, and software piracy. I think most of the people on here now respect each other even though they disagree. That is the key for a good forum. It just takes a few to ruin it though.

The e-mail was in the original I cut and pasted, but I didn't notice when the board script removed it.

Thanks for posting it.

As for the trollsters - yeah, there have been any number of them around here laying low for quite a while. For some reason, in just this past month, they seem to have gone off the deep-end. Sort of a group-think thing, I guess.

Anyway - as Richard commented, if I had known your e-mail address, I would have sent the original message directly to you. While I agree there are risks to posting an e-mail address, mine has been openly posted for some years now and with Yahoo or Hotmail it is easy enough to resolve any problems. Please think about it.

At 62 pages, I believe that this is too large to be posted here.  I suggest you write and request a copy for yourself.  You will have to make a decision here: do you want to remain anonymous and pass on the information, or are you willing to have contact with others by email?
