I think you ought to give my previous possey idea some SERIOUS consideration! Trolls need to be cut off quickly! Requiring a more difficult registration, screening prior to issuing new posters with a password, forcing new posters to post in a que that only a few responsible members (lol, obviously not myself) that frequently post would have access to the que to be able to check it from time to time to bring (sponsor) the new legitimate posts onto the board would kill trolling 99% and also stop 90% of the flame wars. After a period of thirty days or 30 posts (whichever came last) would a new poster be able to post directly to the board without posting in the que. By then, their intent by the type of posts they post would be established. If a troll was willing to wait it out, once they started their spew, they would be quickly cut off by a possey member and have to start over under another name. This would be way to painful and unproductive for them to even bother. It would sure stop the weekend Trolls. Since the que would be checked frequently by the responsible posters, no legitimate new poster would be unable to eventually get his or her post placed on the board. Ya gotta come up with something a whole lot more creative then ya got going now.
