About a year ago I read a Aussie joker's report of how he had told a golddigger that if she found what she was looking for (i.e. a rich man) to tell him, and he would turn into a blue boy and marry the rich man himself [it was a joke...]

The other day I had it explained to me that the origin of the term 'Blue' for homosexual came from a Moscow Metro station that was predominatly blue in colour, which was/is the place that was used as a pickup joint.. ok, ok... I know this may all be an urban myth of a russian type.

But coming from Tashkent { 4th largest city in CIS)a Muslim republic, there is no public profile of homosexuals there so the Mrs finds it a real scream to see homosexual couples here, she often nudges me and surrupticisly [sp?] points them out to me.

Last night at the picture theatre we saw the French movie 'The Closet' and I expalined where the term 'Out' came from. There were lots of poofters at the movie so she was enjoying herself (the thought of sexual freedom being a new idea to her) poking me in the ribs and covertly indicating various couples, when I realised she had not recongised a lesbian foursome. She would not believe me, until I pointed out that two of the shelias had hair shorter than mine and were wearing cowboy shirts, sort of a uniform for some of them here [used to be overalls [dungarees ?] and combat boots].

She enoys the diversity, the the 'crazy' people... she lauged very much at the sight of two old ladies smoking ciggerettes speeding past us in a car on the motorway.

She had never seen two Babuskas by themselves in a car before {very few women drive themselves in her old city, certainly not grandmothers}

I'll have to take her to the Annual Gay parade [she absolutely loved the Santa parade!
