I was very naive about Russian women when I got here and ended up meeting a very beautiful 40 year old RW three days after coming here.  I met her one night in a bar dancing.  She never left me since then.  We live together here in UA since last Nov. 2000.  I am due to go back to US soon and will leave her here for three or four months while I get my job back in US and plan my future.  I do include my RW in my plans but would like to see how my absence affects our relationship.  I have mentioned before that the motive for these RW/AM relationships is difficult to discover and I would like to be separated for a short time and see how much sincerity is there.

No, many expats aren't as quick as me but it's hard to resist.  I have twenty year old girls that chase me.  Sometimes I can't believe it.  I will tell you that my choice would always be someone that was raised in the old Soviet system since they are not as westernized as the young ones.  I would choose someone 35+ if I were near that age bracket.  The values that the young RW have are no where near the values my RW possesses.

I was wondering where that age cut off generally was that divided these women and their values. Of course there are always exceptions. I met KenC's young wife - although young she is what you would expect of an older woman emotionally and mentally.

I believe that much of Lena's character traits were established from a strong connection with her Grandparents.  They practicly raised her until she was a teenager.  Maybe that is why she has such old fashioned values, even by Russian standards.

Ken,

When I met you and Lena and I heard of her relationship with her grandparents ---- I came to that conclusion myself as well as felt that explained why it was that she honestly likes older men. There are women who like older men plain and simple. Most do not however. This is why I do not think that situations like yours should be looked at as a reasonable thing for everyone to expect to find. There are just not enough of these women around. And besides, there is no lable on their head that tells you who they are so finding them is a hit and miss expedition.
