Hi guys

i am new to this board. i have been thinking about a RW, I have been a single parent for the past 12 years. my sons are on their own now and it is time fo rme to find that special lady.  i am 51 years old and in good shape. i am not looking for some young girl to marry. i woudl like to find someone clorser to my age, from about 42 up. i have seen some of the pages on Russian women. the women seem to look young for that age. one question i have is , are these picture ones that were taken years ago, or, are they for real. i have read alot about women from russia and feel this is where i couldfind that special lady. also i am tall, 6, 4. i want to find a lady that is 5 '10 or more. also where would be the best place to start. any help please

Hi,
I visited Kazan last summer.  I saw a number of beautiful tall women -- it seems like the height of the women was above average.  The down side is that Kazan is in Tatarstan so a number of the women are probably Moslem as well.

 I went the agency route and had no problems whatsoever. Common sense and good judgement is the key. Olga and I have been married just over a year. I've never been happier in my life. By the way, I'm 41 and she's 35. My stepdaughter (Olga's kid) is 12.

Hi Terry, welcome to the board!  I think that Bubba has listed some of the major agencies, but there are many others, including firstdream.com operated by Jack Bragg, a frequent and knowledgable contributor to this board as well as many others that can be accessed from this site.  I think your age and height parameters are sound.  I highly recommend that you read the archives on this board to get a gist of the pros and cons of using agencies - there is a considerable amount of worthwhile and not so worthwhile (ignore Ryan's posts!) material on this subject that you should read before signing on with any agency or buying addresses.  Regarding the agency pictures, it's hard to tell when they were taken, but typically not more than a few years earlier.  The general experience, including my own, is that once you meet these women they are usually much better looking than the pictures.  RW take good care of themselves and take enormous pride in their appearance.  My wife is 42 but she is frequently mistaken, even by her own countrymen, for someone considerably younger.  Good luck in your efforts and feel free to ask any questions!

I have taken the approach to place an add in the FSU newspapers as I feel the agency rout is a bit overused now days.  If you would like E-mail me and I can make suggestions on how to go about placing your own add.  It is much, much cheaper then going the agency rout.  In the mean time you might want to go threw the archives here and read about what it takes to make your search successful.  It is not for the weak at heart, there are so many obstacles and the search as many will say is the easiest part of all this.  It’s a whole new ball game when you get them over here.

Major US Agencies:
European Connections, biggest tour operator
A Foreign Affair, supposed to have better tours
First Dream, works more on the personal level
Anastasia, lousy tours, lots of women

They all have height screening as part of your selection criteria.  Taller girls are harder to match so you might have them all to yourself.  There are a lot fewer women over 40 but there are some good ones.
