I'm heading to Odessa next month but thought I might visit Dnepro as well.. If anyone here has been to Dnepro, I would be interested to know what they might think of the girls there compared to Kiev or Odessa??  Also if they might know of any good agencies there and if there are any scam agencies that would be good to stay away from?  I haven't found any agencies yet on the net from there...

You know, the usual questions..

Thanks,
Oscar

Been there twice. Nice town. Laid back atmosphere. Compared to Kiev it is like going from big northern city to smaller southern city. Nice people. Many good ladies, many too young, and some very wild (a lot of Ukraine girls a very wild). It is on the Dnipro river in the central east part of the country. It is an old military industrial complex city of the Soviet era. ICBMs were made there. President Kuchma is from DNP. During Soviet times he was the "manager" of the missle plant. Now he owns it - except they don't make missles anymore, I think sophisticated pipes. DNP has a lot of nice parks. On Karl Marx Stadt they still have a statue of Lenin (they need to tear it down). There is a nice restaraunt named Charlies (after Charle Chan); the best fish I ever had, can't remember the name of it, think it was a flounder. Houtorek is a ancient Ukrainian village theme restaraunt on the river, good food (more than you can eat), very good atmoshphere, try the dry red Georgian wine (yummy). Just down the street there is a big open air night club call Pilots. They have some good dancers there. The northern part of the city where there seem to be a higher concentration of factories has bad air pollution. You can get a lot of cheap CDs in the market (most probably pirate but who cares Smiley

You can check ukraineguidedotnet it's in Zaporozhye, about 30 minutes south of Dnepr. I flew into Dnepr. via Austrian Airlines and my wife is from this area. I know the President of Ukraine is from Dnepr. and he's done a lot for the city.
good luck

Dnipro is a slightly interesting city, but really not much to do there.  This is more of an industrial city and one thing I noticed is a high number of Jewish synogogs sp??? I know the spelling is terrible.)

The city seemed to be a little more dirty than either Kiev or Odessa but still doesn't mean that there aren't some jems to be pulled out of there.

I met several really nice ladies there but nothing really happened for me there.  I did however meet one girl who I was really interested in at the last minute but she did not speak any english and I was leaving on the train for Kiev in only 5 minutes so I decided to let it go.

It seems that all decisions are magnified under such circumstances and that even a somewhat minor decision can make a big difference in the outcome of your trip.

I am glad I went to see Dnipro but I would personally only go if I had some special ladies lined up there to meet, otherwise I would have more fun in Kiev or Odessa.

But then again it is totally my opinion.

Good luck,  Jim
