Pictures are up.... link is in my profile.

After you arrive at the link and see the first picture, don't forget to mouse over to the drop down "View" button just above the picture and select "Original Picture Size". If you don't, the pictures will be fairly small.

All pictures were taken (most taken by me) between July 4th and mid October, with my Canon Powershot A20.

I haven't gotten around to adding captions yet, if you have a question just ask, and I'll tell.

I hope you like them.

Peace,

-Deckard

never mind, I got it to work.   Nice pics.   Very pretty lady.  You are a lucky man.  She has an honest face and seems very nice.

I couldn't get over the picture with the cat.  Poor thing looks like it's being tortured.  It should be so lucky ;-)

Congrats

I can't get over it either... that cat is the craziest cat I've ever met. You know... the cats and dogs over there were different than here, behavior wise. I mean, I've known a lot of cats and dogs here. They just aren't the same.

Just one example, that cat in the picture (Luda's cat) , he would accept watermelon and bread, and he would claw you if you tried to take it from him, or even so much as approached him. His growling would make any self respecting dog leave the room. And it's not that he was hungry, he was well fed.

As crazy as those crazy ivans Smiley

Should have called him Krazy Kat.

Thanks for taking the time to post your reports and the pictures. You really bring back some fine memories of Alupka, Simeiz, and Yalta.

I can tell that the weather was much warmer on top of the tram above Yalta than when we were there!

Best wishes to you two and I hope that your paperwork goes through quickly. I know that what you are going through right now.

After all the nay-saying that preceded your trip, you are now the new hero of the Board. Follow your dreams and listen to your heart.

Yeah, it's been hard. I feel like I'm only half here right now. The hardest part was when I wasn't as busy, like the first couple of months after I got back. Ouch.

It's better now, and work keeps me very busy. Still, I'd rather I was over there with her, than here Tongue.

I won't be able to bring her over until probably toward the end of this year Sad. It'll be tough.

As for the tram, it was fun up there on the mountain. It was actually pretty chilly sometimes with the cool gusts of wind, especially for Luda. The last few pictures on the photo site though, was taken at a different time and different part of the mountain. I actually climbed that mountain alone, on foot. And yes, those are clouds, not fog Smiley.

Take care, Rags Smiley

Deckard,

Your lady looks very nice. You make a great couple.

For being a shy guy, you did the opposite of shy IMHO by quitting your job and spending real quality time with her. I think you did it right. Also, you have a wonderful writing style. You are fortunate in that when one gets older, it is not always practical to quit one's job.

How about reentering the work force. How is that?

Good luck to both of you.

Hi Greg,

Thanks, I'm glad you like the trip reports/pictures...

I came back in October, and I reentered the work force two months later, in the same job that I left back in June.

It definitely could have been worse for me.

I guess I've been lucky.

Good luck to you too,

Reminds me of a girl I dated in Moscow.  Brings back some memories from me.  She looks great and you seem to have a really good sense of humor and a good eye for beauty.

Too bad you had to spend some time in the hospital but otherwise sounds like you had a great trip.

Good luck.

There will be a few more funny stories to tell yet, but since they had no real bearing on the trip, I did not put them in the trip reports. When I get around to it, I have a couple of stories to tell Smiley.

I hope everything's going well with the new family..
