... in response to clarification, posted by KenC on Jan 24, 2002Wow! The more I read the more I realize I'm in center field with a hockey stick...
I thought with the I-551 stamp in the passport and-or with the green card, that it would be necessary for her to buy and obtain a Russian travel visa from USA in order for her to return.
Makes sense now that "technically" she is "still" a Russian citizen (from Russia right???) and has and uses her Russian passport for travel along with the the international passport page that is inside her passport.
See,my wife has a Kyrgyz passport with a international passport page however...she is listed as being ""Russian"" and not ""Kyrgyz"" in her passport as far as her nationality...
Confused yet
The best advice I read yet seems to have the airline tickets written for and in "both" names(maiden and marraige) and bring along a copy of as much documentation as possible to support the fact of the marraige and USA "adjusted" residence status.
Sure it will work out Ken...
Brings to mind one question for me...
We have a child due to be born in a week as a result of our marraige here in USA.We are planning to travel back to Russia for a visit later on in this year.Now...The child will have a US passport because born here,I am a US-born citizen and the wife came here on a K-1 and is adjusted and waiting for green-card in mail...
Soooo...The child and I need to obtain Russian passports to enter Russia and the wife will "NOT" need a Russian visa
