What Is Nikolaev Like?

  I am thinking of visiting some ladies I met in Kiev from Nikolaev.
Can any board members fill me in on what the city is like, say
in comparison to Kiev{ the only city I am familiar with}.
Is this a university town like Kharkov?
And what are the ladies like?

My girl from Kherson phrased it this way:

"Kherson is terrible, but at least I am not in Nikolaev."

On the plus side, we went to the Nikolaev zoo which by American standards was poor, but the girls loved the trip.  So, even if you go to Kherson take your girl to the zoo.

First of all I do not want to kill anyone there and definitely do not want to defecate on anyone (must be an Orthodox thing?)

It is much smaller than Kiev with not much happening though there is a fairly good American style BBQ restaurant, a decent nightclub, water park (the big thing there for locals), large outdoor market, very good antique shop if you like that sort of thing, and a quaint downtown area.

Regarding neighboring Kherson it is mucht he same but there does seem to be an over abundance of single attractive ladies around town. Enjoy

....dump. Kherson is nearby and *full* of foxes. Trust me on this, I know of what I speak.
