A muslim woman cannot marry a non-muslim man. You have to convert to islam. I am not sure about "circumcision" (that's what William refers to) - I suspect only the most strict muslims will require this from you. While I am not familiar with the situation in Iraq, I have been to Indonesia many times (the population there is about 80% muslim) and I know several "mix" couples (i.e. muslim+christian); in all but one of these, the man converted to islam (didn't ask them about that little operation, sorry ;-)...

Just in case: Never ever engage in premarital sex with a muslim woman in Iraq!!! If, caught, they will throw you in prison or worse!!!

I read once in this Turkish village, a brother killed his own sister only because a boy dedicated a love song to her???  In France, a Turkish immigrant killed his daughter for dating a Frenchman.  So, all this rings up in my mind.  These are what they call "honor killings."  I'm just scared.

Well, don't be scared, the news always exaggerate. Sure, there are some "crazy" muslims, but the vast majority (99.99%) are normal people like you and me!!!

If some foreigner receives his impression about US from tv news, they may conclude US is a very dangerous country where school children are being shot all the time....

I agree that the vast majority of Muslims are normal and good people like you and me! It is the minority that troubles me. The problem is they have more money and governmental support and asylum, than any other group of terrorists. Once Iran, Iraq, and Libya free themselves from crazed leaders and ayatollahs, it would probably be worth a visit.
