Dalton,

I'm not good with words, but I'm terribly sorry to hear this .

It must have been horrible news for you to get in your e-mail box, and I'm sure everyone feels for both of you.

No doubt write her as often as you can, call her as often as possible, gosh, maybe have someone bring her flowers for you, anything!

Looking on the brighter side for the moment, you have to admire her strength and resolve to hang onto that purse, considering that's what the man wanted bad enough to attack her. Let us at least be thankful the man didn't use something worse than hands, i.e. a weapon.

Dalton, best wishes to you and your fiance, and hope you have a good visit in 2 weeks.

Be strong and keep doing what you are doing.

How about sending her some flowers?  Maybe a little teddy bear along with it.  There are some sites on the internet that will do it.  Give it a shot.  Something from you to her!
