I came to your defense when Tim was talking down to you. Tim was very mature and didn't take anything personal, he even said perhaps he was just on edge.

It should have been left at that, but instead you attacked him.

Now you say you want to bet KenC that his wife will leave him in 5 years, and that she never left her country for love? "This board needs some clean excitement!"

Hey dude, why is there no email address in your profile? Matter of fact no profile! Do you have something to hide? Maybe you did not get the gist of the post. That is only a handful of men on this board actually know what is going on in this country. Yes, there are phenomenial artist in the Ukraine. And they have a high degree of education. Also some of the best chess in the world comes from this region. And the best Vodka ( Luga Nova ). The country also has the WBO Heavy Weight Champion of the World. My point is that the people are highly educated and much more civilized than someone as yourself appears. You snub your nose and think you know something but you know nothing. Go out into the country. Meet the people and their culture. I am not talking about just the economics and beauty of the women. I am talking about the history. The "heart and the soul" of the Ukraine. It sound to me that you have NO soul :-)

Happy Thanksgiving Kenman,

   Peace.  I posted before I thought and I was in a cranky mood.  Now,  I have never seen a guy on here ever offer to sell his trip experience.  All will tell their experience on-board or off-board,  without a price tag.  It seems to be part of the collective spirit of the PL Board.  And there are some here with alot of experience.

  Now,  I should not have jumped the gun on you because you were the first guy to put a price tag on telling his experience.  I guess you do have the right to do that.  Just as we have the right...not to buy.  So go ahead,  peddle away.

 
  As far as their art and culture and history and their spirit as a people,  I have never bashed them.  So I got no idea of what you are talking about there.  Certainly,  they have one of the longest and most interesting histories of any country or people in the world.  Personally,  I look to the near future when our countries loose our old fears and mistrusts of each other and view each other no longer as strangers...but as friends.  And it sounds like you have been doing alot to help in that direction.
 
   But,  I think that it is a far better thing for you to share your experience and insight...than to sell it.  Your decesion.  If your insight and experience is so vast and helpful you will touch more people and contribute to breaking down some age old stereotypes etc,  which would be good for Americans and good for Russians/Ukrainians.

The truth.. I talked to some of the Agencies. They said they have American men in their 40's and 50's. Fat and ugly and they all want are the young beautiful women. So guess what? If there is a buyer with money there is always a seller with the product. To satisfy what they need. So who is at fault the Agencies or the unrealistic American men?

I checked into the Hotel Dnipro and was not in the room no longer than 30 minutes when I get a knock on the door. It was a prostitute. I sent her away and the lady working there came to my room and said "a very beautiful woman". I said no thank you and that I had a business meeting in an hour. The night before I leave I get in my room at 11:00pm. At 11:30pm I get a telephone call. "Natasha a very beautiful woman". I hung up! These women were obviously working for the hotel.Would like to hear more? But remember the truth usually upsets those not willing to accept it. As far as the chess school I have had two offers. I told them to wait until you see the school for yourself. Personally I will help them out. Then again another American hand out :-)

Insights Insights Insights!!! During the Cold War the Soviet Union would not allow the citizens out of the country. If they defected the United States let them into our country. We protected them from going back. Now that the people are allowed to leave guess what? We do not let them in freely. Except for finacee visas of course :-)

During the Russian - Afghanistan War the United States backed the Taliban who were fighting the Russian forces. The Northern Alliance was fighting with the Russians. Now we are backing the Northern Alliance against the Taliban. Guess what? We do not let intellectual Ukranians or Russians freely in our country. People who will contribute to our society and culture. But I guarantee you there will be a flood of Afghanistan refugees allowed into our country when the War is over. Just like the Vietnamese :-)
