All,

Haven't posted anything in a while, thought I'd give an update. We've been married now for 15 months and all is well. I have a few questions...
If we move to a new state, how do we transfer our AOS paperwork to the new state? And what are the drawbacks if any? Our current state currently runs 1100 days for AOS. The new state is running 6 mos. (Wa)
dO THEY START THE CLOCK OVER AGAIN? OR DO THEY give you credit for time served (; ?? IOW, how long does it take for the new state to get your doc's and when does the countdown start? I;ve heard something about getting your AOS file yourself and taking it directlly to new INS office, instead of letting INS transfer it to the new state?Huh Any ideas?HuhHuhHuhHuh??

Jon,
Welcome back.  Glad to hear everything is going well for you.  So your little Russian wifey is moving your butt to the west coast, huh?  LOL  Mine moved me too!

When we moved from Michigan, we didn't immediatly transfer the AOS file.  We were here in CA for a few months when we received the notice for the interview in Detroit.  We naturally delayed it and requested our files be transfered to CA.  Time wise, the Detroit interview was scheduled for October of last year and we were called for the interview here in August of this year.  Hope that helps.
