I sent off my K-1 visa application today.  It should arrive at the TSC by noon tomorrow.  It seems like an eternity just getting all the forms together.  I thought I would never be ready to file.

I am really excited to finally be under way.

If I might ask - when did you start all of this - I mean when did you decide to seek out and find a  FSU lady ---  ultimately arriving at this point?

Like most men there was a proverbial straw that broke the camels back.

I was dating this beautiful young cardiac nurse back in Oct. 1999 we dated for a couple of months and then she just went neurotic on me for no reason at all.  She just woke up one day and decided she was no longer interested. The worst thing was that she did it right before my birthday on Dec. 18th. and with Christmas and New Years coming up it was bad timing.  In fact every AW I ever went out with, just has this habit of dumping all over me at that time of year and I made up my mind that I was not going to put up with being alone for one more year. (I have never had anyone special in my life on my birthday or New Years Eve ever and this is a terrible time to spend alone).

I could understand it if I was unattractive or had some other fatal flaw but I feel that I am in pretty good shape (in fact, better shape than most other guys I know) and at least average by looks and feel like I am a pretty well-rounded person.  But romantically speaking me and AW just don't mix at all.  I can be friends with them okay but there is nothing there for me romantically.

So, this guy I know from work turned me onto the whole Russian scene. He was telling me about this little talk show on the radio he was listening to.  The guest on the talk show was talking about his book that he wrote about going to Russia to find a wife.  At that point I did not take it too seriously but I was interested so I started reading and getting on the internet and doing research about it.

So about Mid-Feb. I plunked down some money on a group tour and started on the road to something really unexpected.

Getting documents signed by your fiancee and getting the adit photos of her also.

Outside of that it was easy to get documents together in my case but you should know that neither Anna nor I had any previous marriages or children so that makes things a little easier.

There were only 2 things that I needed Anna to sign which was the form G-325A and a signed letter of intent to marry.  Then she also sent me 2 adit style photos that I sent in attached to the G-325A.

I would think that in most cases you could get everything together on your end and file in just a few days.

Well, if you are part of the gang then that puts me at still just trying to get on the horse. Smiley))   (not intended as a sexual joke)

Some do it faster than others - that is all. -- good luck to you.

Hope everything goes great.  I turned my paperwork into TSC on June 26 and I will have the exit interview in Warsaw on November 27.  Be patient, it will be worth it.  Don't be suprise if your fiancee gets Packet 3 before you ever know about approval from INS.  That is what happened to me and I read about others who experienced the same.  Maybe INS decided to help consulate out by sending them the approval early and eliminating the need to open so many provisional files...who knows?  I thought about paying extra for the cabling, but I am not sure that would have helped.  Hope things go well...Rick
