yup... in this category.

But there's "a backup system".

Prefer the primary, would regret to go to the secondary, but you only live once.

If things don't work out with #1, and #2 simply does not have the qualities that would make her a good match over the long haul, forget them both and keep looking for #3.  Don't think you HAVE to settle for your back-up.  You're right.  You only live once.  Why back out of one mistake only to plow head-long into another?
