As of the end of the business day today, the Embassy Consular Section had stil not opened.  The "positive" news is that I spoke to someone in the Embassy both this morning and late this afternoon...and while I did not get specific information as to when they will open and  issue visas, both people were specific as to the process of the operations of the Consular Section being moved over to the main building and that they were moving as fast as they can.  I was told that there is a 50-50 chance that they will open tomorrow, Tuesday, though this does not mean that they will issue visas that day, and they both felt sure that they will be able to issue visas this week.  That is as specific as it gets...Now for the bad news...all current and future applications and interviews are essentially suspended...this is not a change in immigration policy, but a technical/practical decision.  Until they get their act together, everything else will just sit.  More info when I receive it.

Hang in there Lee. This does not sound real good for those of us who have interview dates and are waiting. Please keep us posted...
