Author Topic: Question for Patrick about Registering???  (Read 6720 times)

Patrick,
If I register from my computer at work, will the Password I get allow me to post at home where the server is banned?

I ask this because there doesn't seem to be any resolution for my home email and ISP appearing to be in conflict when I attempt to register at home.   I still get the "Web based email not allowed" message.  If this can be resolved as easily as my opening question suggests, it would be great.

Hello SteveG:

I hope that you folks can get this registration matter resolved.  There are several folks that have been regulars and important members of the Plannet-Love family who now are having trouble posting because of a problem in the registration system.

TNeal.....Darrel......and you have this problem.  I hope that this problems gets solved soon so you folks can be regular contributors again.

lot of our old friends that are not able to be a regular part any more.

Is this a permanent thing....or is there a solution to this thing.

Sounds like only people from certain internet providers can be on this board?  Is that right?

Stephen,

Yeah, just before Patrick put in the new registration system, a whole bunch of us couldn't post for weeks. For a while there, it was beginning to look like AOL would be the only provider not on the banned list. Somehow the AOL trolls escaped being banned.

With the new system, I had the same problem that SteveG and others are having (wouldn’t take my ISP email address. I sent Patrick an e-mail with all the particulars and he fixed it promptly so my e-mail addy would be accepted for registration.

It’s the stupid trolls that started all this mess, so my policy is: NO MERCY FOR TROLLS!

What did you do to get him to fix it? I can't register at home nor at work and can't even post from home. He hasn't ever answered my e-mail, let alone fixed it.
