From someone who's worked there, forget it.  Women fall into two categories, virgins (99%) and prostitutes (1%).  Most don't want to leave Thailand.

Very difficult in my opinion. English proficiency is very low, especially when compared to the Philippines. Thousands of men visit Thailand each month for one single reason: sex. If you travel there as a single male, everyone of the locals will assume you came for the same reason. There will be no shortage of "offerings".... But to meet a nice and decent Lady: difficult in my opinion (plus Thai families aren't very thrilled about the prospect of her daughther getting engaged to a Westerner....).
