For anyone interested, PBS will air a four-part series on U.S. immigration, "Destination America", (based on the book of the same name), covering an array of immigration and refugee issues, from factors that propel people to leave their countries to immigration trends to individual profile stories, and how migration and other forces helped make America the world's foremost multi-cultural nation.
The first part airs Oct. 19. Check local listings for times and other air dates.
Part four will include a segment on the case of Rodi Alvarado, an asylum seeker who fled Guatemala after ten years of violent abuse.
