     Hey Dennis, one of the things I liked about LAI was that there were videos of the ladies with their profiles. In the video of my wife she said something that made me laugh so I knew I had to meet her.She has a great sense of humor....a requirement for a woman that lives in the same house as me! hehehe

Yes, LAI did have videoa, but Nelson Grisales hasn t done a thing to fix the problems in the LAI and solitos web sites for at least 2 yeas...and dont get me started!

well califsur, that is disappointing to only meet so few of your favorite gals, i'd be a little perplexed about that one myself...maybe some of these gals were a little young or otherwise not interested or fading out of the agecny scene? I remember when i made some choices on the website for some of the gals that had been on the site for a long time, those were the ones that were less likely to be easily contacted, not always the case obviously but more likely.   

Either way, how is it going with the one contact that you have already established?

Hey FT: Thanks for asking.  Like JAXPAUL, I read a TON of your old trip reports. Great stuff!  

All is well with the gal I did meet. She and I were locked in 100% while I was in Colombia.  Since returning home to the states it seems her interest has only increased to 110% or 120%.  My problem is I feel a bit like a kid in a candy store having just come back from Colombia!  I wish I had gotten on this path as early as you did.

for guys who are going to Jamie Morrow s agency or to any agency for the first time.

Ranking girls before you meet them face to face is (IMHO) an exercise in futility. because its a grade based on the guy s fantasy of what he WISHES the girl will be like.

Profiles convey a selective reality, what the girl wants to project. Sometimes, its close to the objective truth, much of the time it isnt. Photos can be deceiving, as we all know. In some photos, blancas appear as trigueñas, or a triguena is a morena clara, etc. Perceptions of weight, and height can al be influnced by the angle and poses of fotos.  

if a woman is lying on her stomach facing the camera, she is hiding her belly and can bet she s way heavier, then the 5 1 and 128 she s listing on her profile. So when you look at a photo, the first question to ask is...what  am I not seeing? Chances are that s what she wants to hide.

So just fnd a pool of women you would like to meet, DON T say to yourself , I really WANT to meet his one. Because if she s got obvious good looks,  other guys thought so too and she may not be availalbe, maybe she so trying to make a realtionship work with one of the prior men at the agency.

And if you are paying Jamie or someone else 1500 for time and and a room and bath, it should be a decent sized pool of women. You should get full vlaue and be busy. 80% of guys want to meet the top 20% of attractive women, but there are always hidden  pearls in the other 80%...be a hidden pearl finder....

No one is ever going to know an agency woman by her fotos and profile....Not until  you get into a woman s home and meet her family...do you have a much better idea of who she is

 

Hey Dennis:  I hear you.  But Jamie has guys pick their Top 5 or 10 girls. You got to start somewhere.  

Also, the girl I did connect with had photos that were So So at best.  She could have gone either way in person.  I liked a few things in her PROFILE (read: interests, characteristics, etc) that ALSO caught my eye.  Not gonna lie, I was pretty sure she was NOT ugly and at least would have some physical appeal to me.

Yes, you have to start somewhere.  and that s SOP for an agency to ask the guys to pick thier top 5 otr 10....it s a way to judge what kind of client the man is going to be, what his tastes in owmena are and does the agency think he is realistic

When I worked for LAI in Bogota inthe fallof 2008 , I went backl through all of the citas requests of the last 50 guys. One girl was 30 years old and her photos generated requests from 90& of those men, ages 29 to 65  to meet her!!!!!

i know what you mean about kid in the candy store, but you gotta understand that if you find 'THE WOMAN' their is nothing better, the grass is not greener...i sometimes joke about having mulitple wives but the truth is I woundn't give up the one I have because it can't be improved upon...Perhaps you can let your relationship develope with this gal of yours and you will feel the same way...if she isn't right for you then of course you are free to do some more wife-hunting...it is too bad you didn't find this option a little earlier because for some, getting out some wild oats is a critical part of the process and you might decide to skip that step since you are no spring chicken! ajaja

Yes.  Very true.  

Yet AndyLee's reference to the age old formula on age:
-The guy's age divided by two plus 7 yrs only means the age difference GROWS for the guy over time.  That is NOT a bad thing.

But your fundamental point is the sound, mature one.  Give it time to see where it goes.   Oh how I would love to have been Colgando's age (29) when I discovered Colombia!

Regarding the good or bad photo thing, when I went down to Jamie's I actually used photos that were like a year old and made me look really good (some girls have told me I look like a model in those pictures).  The funny thing is, I'm a below average looking guy, probably like a 5 on the 1 -10 scale.  One girl I met at Jamie's even told me I looked different than my pictures and she said I was fatter in real life.... jajaja.  The Latin culture is funny like that, this girl called me fat but was still giggling and smiling and dying to go out with me.  (I'm not fat, by the way, I just was not in the awesome shape that my pictures portrayed).

But it still worked in my favor, because almost all of my choices showed up, and only 1 out of the 20 or so girls said she wouldn't see me again, but that girl was one that I dismissed after like 5 min, and I think she was just offended.

You'd be surprised what you can do in photo shop.  You can easily reduce your waist size, and pump up your arm and shoulder muscles a little bit.  

Ok, I'm just kidding about the photo shop thing!

One thing I have noticed from dating Latina ladies is I THINK they prefer a little girth over too thin.  Yeah, I know it's hard to generalize based on a few observations. And maybe that is even a true statement for most women. I am not sure.

But IN MY EXPERIENCE at least that has been the case.  At the airport, my chica actually told me she would LIKE IT if I gained a few pounds by the next time I visit!  A few short years ago I USED to be a more bulky guy (lifting weights, etc) so I really took no offense. But at my age I am just hoping to stay healthy and stave off decline.

Hey Ray:  Yes, we have discussed this topic quite a bit. We both have NO KIDS and we both WANT KIDS.  She was even showing off her mothering skills with some kids who were waiting next to us at the airport.  She's lives with her prima and sobrinos so she gets lots of practice time.

No offense Califsur, but judging from your avatar picture you have a lean athletic look that is not common at all as far as I can remember here in Colombia. I have no clue if that makes a difference, but I can easily see from a Colombian point of view you are skinny as a rail.
Now, on the other hand, guys like me and DL are Way the hell ahead of the curve
So, if you took an average between me and you that average body shape would fit right in here.
I guess what I'm trying to say, guy, you're too damn skinny and you have way too much hair

I really don't think your appearance is going to hurt you.  It is smart for you to be staying healthy...I've gained quite a bit of unnecessary weight since I first met my wife so based on my experience if  you can start off thin or in good shape that is a good thing.

Ignorante: Didn't mean to make it sound that way. I DO lift weights but not with the intent of bulking up.  I was that guy 5 & 10 years ago. My frame is actually naturally pretty stocky, although you wouldn't know that from looking at my photo. I have shed a few pound the past few years. 

Andy: No offense taken on the skinny comments.  I think it's probably true for other non-Colombian Latinas too. About a year ago I dated this Mexicana here in the US.  We first met about 5 yrs ago when I had more bulk. She commented on that clearly hinting she liked the heavier/bulkier version. The lesson I have learned is for Latinas MORE is MORE.
