Is S. Korea the 'New Japan'?

I usually only do McDo (Filipino for Mc Donalds) once every week or 2, when my daughter wants a cheese burger. Having found a better local burger place, I usually only eat a McDo apple pie (deep fried).

While I've seen the squid ink pasta on menus, I haven't seen the squid ink pizza in restaurants (at least not lately).

While in my wife's hometown grocery store MaxValue, I came across pizza by-the-slice available in the bakery section.  Didn't look too bad.  Wasn't in the mood for it, though.

Cheese and cheese-flavored products are fairly popular in the Philippines, but not nearly as popular as here in the States.

Cheese-flavored ice cream is a favorite over there.

They seem to be big fans of processed cheese rather than natural cheeses which i found to be rare there.
