I've always heard in the US that white-Indian relationships are very rare and Indian women tend to prefer pale Indian men, but have no real proof. The only couple I know is an Indian guy and American girl and they've broken up countless times due to problems with his parents.

I think the major turn off is that there is not really dating in India, and this makes western guys feel very uncomfortable. Same for Cambodia. I would imagine that's he biggest problem. Guys may be willing to go for a one-week wonder but not a one-hour wonder.

Indian women typically do not date outside their culture.  Even if they have a desire to date someone, that indian woman would have to face major hurdles with her family and community.  I know this from personal experience.  I dated a wonderful Indian woman for a year but she was afraid to tell her parents she said they would kill her.  Their culture is rich and unique and they dont like the thought that their daughters would marry non indians and chnage culturally.  Typically they dont even like their daughters marrying other indians  if those Indians belong to another region caste or ethnic group.  On the positive note in general they make very good devoted wives and girlfriends.  Me personally I could not be happier with my Filipina fiance and soon to be born daughter.  The original poster made an excellent choice with his Cebu woman.  I too faced that choice between Latina's and Asians.  Thanks to the wise voices of experience on this forum I was able to make a good choice.  I Also had that issue of feeling that latino women in general dont seem as loyal as their Asian counterparts.

Whao.  What happened to the original post?  Shame if they self-deleted because it is a legitimate question with regard to pursuing Asian brides.

His posts and user name were deleted shortly after posting this.

I suspect a drive-by troll who has been using several names on this forum.

Do you know why he was deleted Jeff?

No. It wasn't me. Suspect the higher powers smelled a rat.

If it's any consolation, I think Indian women are gorgeous - and have a long-time Indian friend who is married to a Dutchman. Her (very high class) father was incensed but has had many years to get over it. She's a lady any of us would have counted ourselves lucky to have dated, and her husband, very lucky to have landed.

India is on my bucket list without a doubt. It has been since the 1960s. Funny, (not haha, but peculiar) that it's been so remote for so long - from a business and tourism standpoint - especially considering it's population and the fact that almost all Indians speak English.

Thanks for the congrats Jeff.  I agree though Indian women are gorgeous and for a long time they were only women I would look at and desire.

I never prepay a room for more than 1 or 2 days in advance, especially if you have never stayed there before.

In case you don’t like it for whatever reason (giant roaches, ants, dirty room, broken A/C, no hot water, noisy all-night disco next door, etc…), you may want to bail out and find another place.

The best deals are often had by walk-ins with no reservations. If they have empty rooms, they are more likely to make you a great deal. Typically, if you stay for a week or so, they will discount your room also.

If you will be there during Holy Week (Mahal na Araw), then you're better off to book in advance or you may not be able to find anything.

Hey Crashfire,

Haven't stayed there, but been to the beach. The prices look good. My wife's family has land nearby that we are thinking of building on. I will be in Bohol in a month or so. Very beautiful area!  The Chocolate Hills and Loboc River tour are a must see!  Also, don't forget to stop by to give Prony a hug and the beautiful "Marimar" a kiss.  ::) Stay for the show!  ;D
