Trip report #1
One of the women who I had written to during my email campaign and who was #1 on my list , got on a plane and went to Panama when she learned that  planned to have citas with other women.  I was thinking i was meeting her for my first night and then taking her to dinner the next night and then we would talk. Jim Southard found out that she had bolted before I got on the plane and said forget her, there are a million others. He evaggerated, only slightly.

By the time I got to the airport in San Jose, CR I was feeling better and then I saw my first knockout, maybe 25, dressed in a tight red "jump on me" dress and red high heels. I looked, admired but didn;t touch and then started to feel good. From CR to Bogota, I sat next to a mature Colombiana, 45, single, attractive, a gym teacher and a fervent Catholic and I practiced my Spanish, so I count that as my first cita in Colombia.  We exchanged email addresses, wished each luck and it was just fun.

The guy who wa ssupposed to pick me up at the airport was 10 minutes late, and caused me some concern, but he was such a nice kid, I didn't even mind.  By the time I got to LLM, they had 2 citas lined up for me to replace the lady that bolted. The first was with coffee at Charlies Place with a elegant, classy real estate sa;esperson, who spoke some English, we got along well and made a date for dinner.  There is no BS, no American style games here, I just looked at her and said "are you interested in me", she said si and we went from there. To all the American and Canadian men who are htinking about doing this, when was the last time you spent $2.30,  had a terrific 1 1/2 hours conversation with an elegant attractive woman and got a dinner date?

The second date was with a 50 year old hairdresser with a body that goes and goes and goes, big stew knows who she is. I had written to her and we had agreed to meet in Bogota. She has a very mature 17 year old son who speaks excellent English and afte rmy Spanish ran out about an hour into the conversation, he was the interpreter. We went to a Waffles and Crepes place and at closing time they threw us out, then we sat in the mall and the security guards threw us out and then we walked back to the agency and talked in the lounge.  Again no BS, no games, just straight Q and A., back and forth  I didn't even ask her for a cita, I just opened up my appointment book and she filled in a slot for lunch.  We'll do a second cita by ourselves and see if there is any real chemistry.

I've got a terrific suite at the top of the hotel, 800 square feet, for $65 a night for three weeks.  As for the staff, unbelievably freiendly and determined to help, I've raved about Jim Southard before, 'nuff said", he is in person everything he said that he would do with and for me.  His new wife, Murly is sweet, gorgeous and at 36 has a body that takes a man's breadth away.  She also left a killler chicken dinner that she had cooked for me on my first ngiht at the agency.  Ximena is the appointment setter, enthusiastioc, excitable and fun, also with a drop dead body, Margot is the agency manger, beautiful, intelligent smart, a rock that holds the place together.  This is a family, not just a business and if a client is courteous, pleasant and reasonable, he gets to be part of the family for as long as he is at the agency.

LLM a class act and an incredible value for a man who is willing toi be honest with himself and the women, learn some Spanish, and is serious about finding a wife. Today, I have four more first citas, one for luch with a woman I wrote to and two coffee citas and Jim and Murly are introducing me to a women who had contact me and i was Its a tough life.

The girl who got on the plane and bolted to Panama?  She's ancient history, don't even remember her.

Glad to see you didn't let the initial disappointment spoil the trip. There are way too many sexy women in Colombia to give players second chances or second thoughts. Good luck too you.

Glad things are going well for you. I was kicking myself for not thinking of this earlier. You might remember the late Pete E fiance
Beatrice.. She is a nurse and if you remember from the threads a
great and beautiful lady in around 42-43 years old now..

I heard she would like to find a special love again.. I was thinking of her before I got smitten with my Peruana lady.. Just a thought , if you are interested , I am sure we can get contact info for you and do it by PM..

      Sounds like everything is going well.The one that went to Panama...I'm glad to hear you didn't let that spoil your trip.I think the key is to be choosy and in Colombia, you can be...Good Luck Dennis.

Great report! I really enjoy all the trip reports and especially the ones from those who are there for the first time. Colombia is a beautiful country, and the people for the most part have always been good to me. Singlefather had an excellent suggestion, and one which I second. Beatriz is a wonderful woman and a good friend. I can send you pictures of her if you are interested and her contact info. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a better person than Beatriz. She is a class act with a capital "C"!

Dennis, well seeing is believing.  You will continue to be amazed at how many truly beautiful women you will see when you are out and about on your trip.  After talking to you on the phone the other night, I was telling my wife about your up-coming adventure, and that the woman who you were conversing with got mad you intended to meet other ladies.  She laughed when I explained how Colombian women are very possessive.  She was laughing at me when she said "if you think I'm bad, then he has another thing coming.  The women in Bogota are even more possessive of their men than the women in Cali."  When you find the right lady, I'm sure she will make you feel like a King and the luckiest man in the world.  I've been married 9 years, and I still feel that way.  Not sure what my wife is doing with me, but as we both joke all the time, we are stuck with each other now.

Glad you didn't let one bad experience get you down.  There are more fish in the sea, and you being at LLM in Bogota, are fishing in a stocked pond!!!  Enjoy, I'm sure it will be an experience of a lifetime.  Those of us who have done it have very fond memories, even 10 years later!!!

I am glad your having a good time.  I told you on the phone 2 times that everyone there will work for you.  Ximena is a real hoot, and she works hard for you.  Yes I know which woman you are talking about.  Hottest 50 year old I ever seen in my life.  Keep us up to date.  I am still in Colombia but in Barranquilla.  I will go home after Carnaval
