For all expats living abroad, are you on a pension or did you open a business?

how do you earn your daily bread to live over outside of your home country? I have a few business idea and as a software developer I'm sure I can open up some sort of online store. I'd like to get a feel for what kinda choice are available.

Internet based businesses seem to be more successful than most for Kanos abroad, but I don't know if many folks really make a great deal doing it. For one thing, you can have your fees--'money' sent wherever you want. Of course, you need reliable, high speed internet too.
