Visa information
« on: July 07, 2009, 07:08:01 PM »
Just have a few questions eveyone, any help is appreciated. I downloaded paperwork from U.S. citizenship and immigration services. It appears that all I need to fill out on my end are the following papers. I-134,affidavit of support and I-129,petition of support. If I am missing something please let me know.  The number they give me to call for any additional information is all automated. There is no hitting zero and talking to someone. Any help is appreciated.

Make sure you have Form I-129F, not I-129!

Did you also download the instructions for the I-129F?

You will need to complete a Form G-325A (Biographic Info), and your fiancée will need to do the same.

You (and your fiancée) will also need to submit an original statement of intent to marry.

You also may need to submit documentation to comply with IMBRA. See Part 9 of instructions.

The I-134 affidavit comes later in the process, when she is ready to appear for her visa interview.

Here’s a basic checklist for submitting a fiancée petition:

*****
K-1 Checklist

1. Completed Form I-129F
2. Filing fee (cashier’s check or money order)
3. Original Form G-325A (Biographic Information) for you
4. Original Form G-325A (Biographic Information) for your fiancée
5. One recent color passport photo of yourself
6. One recent color passport photo of your fiancée
7. Copy of petitioner’s certified birth certificate or proof of U.S. citizenship
8. Copy of documents showing legal termination of all previous marriages
9. Evidence of meeting within last 2 years
10. Original statements of mutual intent to marry
11. Evidence of valid relationship and mutual intent to marry
12. Certified copies of court and police records for any convictions of listed crimes
13. Signed statement attesting to the fact that document copies submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered originals
14. Copy of fiancée’s birth certificate (not required but recommended)
15. Copy of fiancée’s passport ID page (not required but recommended)

Translations:  Any foreign language document must be accompanied by a full English translation that the translator has certified as complete and correct, and by the translator's certification that he or she is competent to translate the foreign language into English.

you can also hire attorneys now for as low as 200 dollars!!!!!

I am at 1250 on my side cases so you dont need to come here. . . . the office I affiliate with charges 2500.

But- 200 for a fiancee visa. Must be trying to load up on volume. . .

Glad I changed most of my practice before the fall. . . .

OK, William, don't tease with the $200 fiancee visa, and then not tell us where and when.

Details, please.

(FYI, I did "just Google it", and found nothing even CLOSE to two bills).

So if you don't mind....
