My Dad joined the Navy in 1946 when he was 13 and was accepted.  Got cold feet and told them his real age and they sent him home.  Its really surprising that he was able to pass the tests and foll every one but it was towards the end of WWII.

hey this was a really good post !!!!! why ?? you may ask , well for starters there will be several posters here that It will take them that long to find the " perfect young wife " .  i don't have to mention any names , they know who they are .... BTW i'm not looking
